As we continue to grow, we invite you to join us.We are looking for an Intermediate or Senior Climate Change Advisor with experience in one or more specialist areas. You will be given the opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects and further develop your skills and leadership expertise while working alongside a well-regarded and highly skilled team. While our preference is for this role to be located in Nelson or Wellington, we will consider senior applicants based in Auckland or Christchurch also. About the roleClimate change skills in one or more of the following: climate risks, impacts and adaptation, resilience, mitigation, emissions, climate-related disclosures, carbon sequestration, blue carbon, community engagement, facilitation, application of matauranga Maori in the context of climate change, and working with iwi/Maori on climate response.Project management including proposal and report preparation, cost estimating, budgeting, analysis and assessment, client liaison, and relationship management.Internal climate change upskilling and awareness raising.Work with a range of clients from central government to local authorities, private companies, research and other organisations, communities and iwi/hapu. Work across all stages of a project, taking a high level of responsibility but under the coaching and support of our senior staff, and undertaking supervision and support for junior staff.What you'll bringDegree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Social Science, Planning or other relevant field.Three plus (intermediate) to five plus (senior) years' experience in climate change response in planning, policy, or implementation.Proven track record in a consultancy or transferrable skills to demonstrate commercial understanding/business acumen, and client relationship and management.Capable of identifying key opportunities or winning work, including leveraging off existing networks and relationships.A passion for making a difference for our clients and the environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to facilitate between diverse groups of stakeholders.What we offerA comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, income protection, salary top up for parental leave and the ability to purchase extra annual leave.Flexible/hybrid working culture, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.Professional development opportunities, including support for ongoing training and education, and fully subsidised membership fees. The chance to work on meaningful projects that make a difference to our environment. A vibrant environment, committed to fostering a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion. About Us PDP are one of Aotearoa's fastest-growing environmental science and engineering consultancies.
