About the Firm
Our client is an award winning, boutique firm located in Woolloongabba. The firm service a wide range of SMEs and offer full business services and advisory services. The firm are scaling up and have been rapidly growing over the past few years. The two Directors are investing heavily in their staff, marketing and training to ensure they meet their growth goals in the next five years.
About the Role
You will join the firm as an intermediate or senior accountant (depending on experience). Initially, your role will primarily involve business services compliance as well as regular client meetings. As you progress your career, you will receive further training in value-add advisory and get exposure to external CFO and tax structuring work. You will report to two Directors and receive training from both Directors as well as a Manager. You will be responsible for training and mentoring junior accountants and progression to Manager will be encouraged.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Preparation of financial statements, BAS and IAS;
Preparation of tax returns for all entities;
Mentor and train undergraduate and graduate accountants;
Give clients regular updates via telephone and email;
Sit in on client meetings with the Directors;
Assist with tax planning and research work; and
Provide tax advice to clients.

Skills / qualifications required for the role:
The ideal candidate will be looking to work in a fun and rewarding environment. You should have a passion for helping small businesses and want to be part of a modern and growing accounting firm.
Two-Five years experience in business services within an accounting firm;
Degree qualification; and
CA / CPA qualification or working towards is a bonus but not essential.

Benefits and Remuneration:
$55,000 - $80,000 depending on experience;
