Intermediate Java / Kotlin Developer

About the opportunity:

Our client, who has been in the IT business for almost 25 years is currently expanding their business and are seeking an intermediate Full Stack Java / Kotlin Developer to complement their existing team.

Role description:

You will be responsible for developing Java / Kotlin based applications. Your technical ability will be driven by a hunger to learn, taking ownership of the work and you will always do your best with the resources provided. You will get to work with some of the best technologies in the industry, have a dedicated growth plan, a fun team and lots of learning opportunities.

Responsibilities will include:

Work on projects involving made-to-order construction materials from order receipts to dispatch involving a range of technologies and complexities Work with enterprise-scale technology development stack without the hassles of working in an enterprise Implement only high-quality code

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

3+ years Java / Kotlin hands-on experience (personal/commercial projects) Working experience of databases and knowledge of SQL, (MySQL or PostgreSQL) Experience developing RESTful web services Experience working on Linux operating systems Thorough understanding of version control processes and tools for GIT Excellent communication skills Great team player with the ability to multitask and prioritise Ability to read, review or develop frontend components in React (Advantage) Experience with Spring framework, Tomcat server-side or working in an Agile environment (Advantage)
