Intermediate Front End Developer

Auckland HQ is where the bulk of the engineering horsepower is based with a turbo charged London operation that continues to grow. We run a pod structure (currently 7), follow agile methodology, write elegant code to the tune of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on black widow mechanical keyboards…well not really but it sounds provocative.We are in the process of releasing a re-architected application with completely separated Front End & Back End. The Front End is being rebuilt in ReactJS/Redux and the Back End is being rebuilt in Laravel, all with best practice principles front and center. Think the stability of a established application with the code standards of a start-up code base.We are on a quest for an Intermediate Front End Developer. You will be part of our small Front End team who is taking charge of upgrading our legacy application into a new, revamped ReactJS App. As a Front End Developer, you'll be 100% dedicated to the new toolsWhat your day may look like:The design and build of front end framework to achieve a completely separated back and front end of ezyVet.Taking an active role in project planning discussions, collaborating with project engineers and key stakeholders, and leading on front end development considerations.Auditing and evaluating front-end code structure resulting in a consistent, clean, scalable and robust front end.Documenting processes and policies to be utilized by the wider development team.Training and mentoring developers.What you'll bring2+ years of commercial front-end web development experience.Proven success with React.A keen interest in the look, feel and experience for cloud applicationsA great attitude - our team is filled with a bunch of inspirational, driven individuals that have a great attitude towards developmentExperience developing and/or consuming API'sWe're looking for someone passionate, curious and collaborative to fill this role.
