The role
An opportunity exists in ourhighly regarded Insurance & Reinsurance groupfora Junior Lawyer (2-4 years PQE) to join our friendly team. In this role you will work directly with Partners and clients across a range of jurisdictions on interesting and often complex matters. You should have experience with:
Professional indemnity
Product liability
Public liability
Personal injury (plaintiff and defendant)
Property damage and business interruption
Cargo, mining, energy and resources claims
Political risk insurance
Commercial litigation
Exposure to South American jurisdictions ideal but not essential
Spanish or Portuguese language skills also highly regarded
About you
We are seeking candidates who:
are fluent in Spanish or Portuguese and English (business level)
have knowledge of the Australian and UK legal systems
experienced in commercial litigation and professional indemnity
some experience of international insurance matters
have 1-2 years of insurance litigation experience (defendant)
have a solid understanding of insurance investigations and claims
are willing to learn and strive to be the best lawyer they can be
are efficient and can demonstrate excellent time management
understand that providing outstanding client service is paramount
can maintain strong internal and external relationshipsOn offer
