Acorn Stairlifts is the New Zealands division of the world's leading manufacturer and distributor of stairlifts to help elderly and disabled people with stairs in their homes. To continue our own impressive growth plans and fantastic success we are looking for a capable and enthusiastic In-Home Sales Consultant / Technician to support our direct sales expansion. This is a hybrid role that will see the successful applicant attending to sales appointments in our customers' homes where you will professionally present the company and its products, assess the customer's needs, survey the site, and identify the appropriate stairlift solution leading to closing the sale. Then utilising your technical skills to install and maintain the stairlift. The role would suit someone who is currently hands-on and looking to further their career by starting the move into the sales environment. The job requires work in the homes of our customers, many of whom are aged or handicapped and therefore the successful candidate will need to be well presented, tidy, honest and be able to demonstrate pride in a job well done.A specific background in stairlift installation is not essential as full training will be given. It would, however, be advantageous to have a background in an electrical or mechanical trade. This might have been in servicing of electronic or electrical products, mechanical fitter or similar technical ability.
