Details of the offer

Role suited to experienced or senior clinician
Dunedin
Full-time, permanent

About you
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced (minimum 4 years) or senior cardiorespiratory physiotherapist in our inpatient Allied Health team. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the drive to develop quality services in collaboration with others while working alongside a committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
We seek a clinician who is able to work autonomously in a variety of inpatient settings. You will be proficient at managing and prioritising a caseload within the inpatient setting and show dedication to developing your own skills while supporting the growth of students, junior staff and the Allied Health Assistant workforce. The specific role within our team would be determined by your skill-set and experience, clinical interests, and service requirements. Relevant experience in paediatrics and/or cystic fibrosis management is desirable.
About Southern DHB

About the role - what's in it for me?
Boasting excellent education and restaurants, competitive costs of living and a beautiful coastline, life in Dunedin can be as relaxed or as energetic as you want. Our teams enjoy the short commute to work and work-life balance is relaxed and affordable. Dunedin offers an array of outdoor and recreational pursuits such as skiing, hunting, tramping, and much more all within two to three hours drive!
Dunedin Hospital is a tertiary care facility and our cardiorespiratory physiotherapy team cover critical care and high-dependency units, cardiothoracic, respiratory, general surgical, and trauma specialities. Our newly re-developed, world-class critical care unit (Te puna wai ora - Southern Critical Care) is expanding enabling new opportunities for evidence-informed physiotherapy care.
We take pride in supporting our staff to grow and we enable ongoing professional development including regular team in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework, and access to course and conference funding. We work closely with the University of Otago's School of Physiotherapy and support student education throughout clinical placements. Our team is also developing and implementing simulation training resources and programmes to enhance educational opportunities for our staff and students.
Please provide as part of your application a CV and cover letter.
