About the role We are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our highly skilled team at our Hornby plant in Christchurch. The right person would be highly skilled, personable and works well under pressure in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
In this role, no day is the same - from poultry processing equipment to refrigeration systems and site lighting projects. You would be responsible for carrying out preventative and general maintenance with an emphasis on reducing or eliminating downtime. The role would provide you with the opportunity to practice your highly skilled tradesmanship and conduct the activities in a cost-effective and timely manner while complying with all Company and statutory hygiene, quality, and safety policies. Experience in an FMCG processing environment would be helpful but not essential.
Our food manufacturing site will provide you with one of the most interesting environments to utilise your electrical diagnostic skills to their full potential. You will be working with a broad range of high-tech machinery requiring preventative and reactive maintenance. You will be involved in suggesting, designing, and implementing ideas and upgrades throughout our plant.
This is a fixed- 4X4 night shift position. Shift pattern - 3.00 pm-3.00 am. Great hours for work life balance! What a day in the role looks like -
Providing rapid response to breakdown situations by reacting quickly in determining maintenance priorities across the business to mitigate risk and minimise downtime.Contribute to our asset care strategy by conducting preventative maintenance inspections to prevent/avoid unnecessary downtime from occurring.Opportunities to become a technical expert on our bespoke equipment.A willingness proactively developing skills and capabilities in line with plant equipment.Communicate and contribute ideas for improvements.What will you bring: Industrial Electrical Experience.
