Waitemata District Health Board serves communities of north and west Auckland, a population of nearly 500,000. Dedicated to the delivery of public health care, Waitemata is committed to 'making a healthy difference' to patients and their families, the community & iwi, and the healthcare workforce.
This is an exciting, newly created senior nursing role for a New Zealand registered nurse (with a current practicing certificate) who has sound clinical experience working with children, young people and their families/whanau.
Working across the Child Health Service, you will develop and lead the implementation of initiatives to improve immunisation coverage across the DHB and for priority populations. Co-ordinate the school based immunisation programmes across the three Child & Family sites and Improve linkages with primary care and Well Child Tamariki Ora providers
To be successful in the role you will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and have experience in working across sectors. You will also have the opportunity to make an individual contribution to the development of the service.
