Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment) HamiltonJet are a respected international company and market leader providing marine propulsion systems to high profile clients. With a mix of demanding applications, our products and services are trusted by boat builders, naval architects and a wide variety of end users in over 120 countries worldwide. We export 98% of production to key markets including: vessels for the military, homeland security, search and rescue, fast ferry, oil, gas and renewable energy sectors. Due to a recent internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Leader to join our team. We are on the lookout for a superstar to join our dynamic Christchurch based manufacturing facility, who will be based on site within the factory. Are you passionate about HSEQ, have a desire to achieve high quality standards, thrive on continuous improvement and are a brilliant people leader, who will lead from the front? If so, then this could be the role for you! Role requirements: Supporting all business areas in the implementation and strategy of all HSEQ activities Develop, drive, and improve HSEQ processes and procedures Audit and report on HSEQ activities Investigate defects, incidents, and near misses Help develop, implement, and maintain a management system which adheres to international standards Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team Who you are: Experienced in HSEQ management within a manufacturing environment A self-motivated person with a proactive and compliant attitude Excellent in communication, both written and verbal A team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility A problem-solver with meticulous attention to detail Desirable qualifications and experience: Ideally have a minimum of 3 years prior leadership experience Qualified internal or lead auditor for ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 would be beneficial Knowledge or experience with an engineering discipline is an advantage We offer a competitive salary, onsite café and parking, active social club and discounted health insurance for you and your family.
