Role Overview: As the HSE & Training Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety and fostering a culture of learning and development. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on both safety outcomes and development initiatives across the company. Key Responsibilities: HSE Manage the company's daily HSE requirements. Develop and Implement HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, competency assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop and deliver interactive and engaging training sessions, workshops, and educational materials covering topics such as safety alerts and job-specific skills Collaborate with the support team to evaluate projects and establish HSE requirements and training needs. Fulfil all company prequalification and reporting obligations Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in HSE Training Support the development manager to deliver company training programmes and initiatives. Develop career pathways, and engage with our team to map out individual training plans, tracking training completion and effectiveness. Lead initiatives to accelerate organisational and team development goals and objectives, including on-field training assessments Support the team through unit standards and qualifications, including practical assessments. Develop and deliver interactive and engaging training sessions and workshops Evaluate the impact of training programs and providers using feedback mechanisms, performance metrics, and continual enhancement strategies. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to HSE. Experience in HSE Management & Training Development, and/or leadership within the construction industry. Qualification in adult learning, human resources or a related field would be a bonus Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire learners. Self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about continuous learning. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
