Your new company

A global multinational with an impressive track record of growth and success, your new company is a leader in the manufacturing / industrial sector. Reporting into the HR Director you will perform a broad Generalist role and manage one HR Advisor.

Your new role
Acting as the 2ic to the HR Director, this will be a busy and diverse Generalist role with a key focus on operational delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will establish yourself as a trusted adviser and partner with stakeholders based across a number of sites nationally.
Advise & coach line managers on issue resolution, grievance handling and complaint management. Appear before industrial tribunals as required.
Manage Enterprise agreement negotiations and ensure those industrial instruments align with the delivery of the business objectives.
This will be a hands on role with a key focus on performance management, succession planning, disciplinary action, and terminations of a blue collar and unionised workforce.
Coach and develop your direct report.

The ideal candidate
The preferred candidate will have prior experience working in complex multi-site environments in the Heavy Industry.
You will be pragmatic and resilient and able to translate your knowledge into commercial outcomes to bring new thinking to problem solving.
You will be confident dealing with unions and managing complex ER cases through to tribunal when required.
Prior experience of EBA negotiation would be advantageous.
You will be an astute business adviser with good judgement and demonstrated success in situational leadership; possessing the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, to influence action and build good relationships.
You will have a broad Generalist skill-set with strong HR qualifications, be highly business focused and bring proven aptitude across HR systems, reporting and processes.
You will have the ability to think strategically whilst rolling up your sleeves and taking action.
