The Role
 
A We currently have a varied HR generalist opportunity for a self-motivated HR professional to join our dynamic and supportive APAC HR team. This role will partner with our New Zealand businesses providing day to day operational HR activities across the employment lifecycle within our Food, Environmental, Oil and Lubricants Business Streams.

This is a standalone HR role (with support from HR colleagues in Australia) where you will enjoy the full gamut of HR responsibilities, including ensuring employee related processes and systems are consistent and compliant with legislative requirements, and reflective of the organisation's values and brand. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to regional HR projects and initiatives as part of the broader ALS HR team.

We're open to various work patterns and part-time arrangements to suit your needs. This could be school hours five days a week, or part time three to four days per week. Let's talk about what might work for you and us!

We serve clients across a diverse range of market sectors including honey, dairy, food production and research and environmental testing services. We leverage state of the art equipment to support our clients across New Zealand, Australia and from other Countries seeking our expert analysis.

Partnering with leaders in different business streams across New Zealand, you will provide generalist advice and lead end to end people and culture activities including:

Employee experience and engagement initiativesCoaching and development of people leadersTalent and performance managementPerformance management, employee relations and interpretationHR reporting and analyticsThe Essentials Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or Business.Proven advisory level experience in an NZ based generalist HR position.Strong continuous improvement and customer focus, recognising the importance of delivering great outcomes to internal and external customers.Ability and confidence to work autonomously at all levels, supporting multiple sites and businesses.Ability to interpret industrial legislation, industrial instruments and Awards.Ability to establish sound working relationships through strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels of the business.Well organised, with an attention to detail, and an ability to manage competing priorities.Computer literacy, with skills in Microsoft office products.Ability to travel occasionally within NZ.
