Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport, our brand-new 5-star hotel, is seeking vibrant individuals to join our dynamic kitchen team as a Kitchenhand! If you have a passion for hospitality, a zest for culinary excellence, and dreams of wearing a chef's hat one day, then this opportunity is tailor-made for you! Be ready to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Māori culture that weaves through every corner of our hotel.
Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment with precision and care Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials following established procedures Keep kitchen tools and equipment tidy and organized for seamless culinary operations Assist Senior Chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing delightful dishes Ensure kitchen appliances and tools are sparkling clean and in excellent working condition Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard procedures for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, ovens and operating equipment
Qualifications
You will be:
Experienced working in a Kitchen or Restaurant within the hotel industry is preferred, but not essential Physically resilient to manage the demands of a fast-paced kitchen A charming, upbeat, and optimistic personality with a "Can Do" attitude Passionate about hospitality and culinary arts, and have the ambition to become one of Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport's Chefs one day Able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends Able to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment
