Aspire2 International is looking for an outstanding Hospitality tutor to deliver courses in New Zealand Diploma in Hospitality L5 and L6. This is a part-time position starting on 29th January and finishing on 5th April with possible opportunities beyond this term.

As a Hospitality tutor you will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver in-class
teaching or equivalent academic activity
per week in areas allocated and reviewed
by the relevant Head of Department.
• Design, develop and deliver Course
materials as per the course outlines and
update the central database as required.
• Evaluate and review existing Course
material on a regular basis ensuring
currency of contents and industry
applicability.
• Meet the learning needs of students by
using different teaching methodologies
and share knowledge and skills.
• Design and develop assessment
instruments as per the course outlines
and assessment guidelines.
• Conduct and mark assessments ensuring
assessment policies and procedures are
followed within the required deadline.
• Contribute in the development of new
courses and programmes.
• Ensure that high levels of academic
quality and integrity are maintained.
• Provide a positive environment in which
students are encouraged to be actively
engaged in the learning process. Meet
the pastoral needs of international
students.
• Achieve the teaching qualification
requirement identified in the OMS.

To be eligible for consideration you must meet the following criteria:

Qualifications and Experience:

• A tertiary qualification at a level at least
one higher than the level they will be
delivering
• A minimum of five years Hospitality
Management industry experience
• A minimum of five years teaching
experience
• Have or be working towards a
qualification in Adult and Tertiary
Teaching

The working hours are approx. 20 or 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

students in the course of their studies.

A strong candidate will inspire students, have sound proven knowledge of their subject and industry and enjoy the rewards of teaching students of a multicultural background. You will bring a positive and energetic approach to problem solving, with a strong work ethic; adherence to time frames and highly organised.
