Hide Process Operator/Tanner

AFFCO's premier bovine tannery in Napier creates customised hides which are sold directly to Tanners in Italy, China and Thailand. These hides are then supplied to industries including automobile, aviation and upholstery.

This is a fast paced environment that requires people who are reliable, motivated and fit and healthy with a positive attitude .  We work on a rotating shift basis which involves a two-shift structure over seven days a week.
We are looking for the following attributes:
Be flexible and able to work under pressure Be self-motivated with excellent communication skills Have a basic knowledge of chemicals and process control procedures, although for the right candidate full training will be provided A diploma certificate in either Fellmongery or Tanning from LASRA would be advantageous Good knowledge of HWSA and RM Act Qualifications To ensure a safe workplace, AFFCO engage in pre- employment medical checks and drug screening.
