About the opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi We are looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to join our Takanini Site, that includes approximately 500 staff and 3 plants across the site with onsite supply chain. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will provide ongoing safety leadership, coaching, mentoring and support to the site and key stakeholders to ensure the strategy is delivered.
Reporting to the National HSW Manager NZ, you will partner with the site manager and managers in operations and supply chain to deliver our new global health safety and wellbeing strategy filling in the local 'how' to the national and global vision.
You will lead a team of x2 site-based Health and Safety Advisors, providing hands-on leadership and coaching to the site leadership teams, deploy your part of the new global safety strategy and bring transformational change in the operations' overall Health and Safety performance. Your day to day will include building effective relationships, influencing stakeholders, challenging mindsets, evaluating risk, verifying compliance particularly of our key controls, sharing best practice, coaching and mentoring.

About you | Ko wai koe You will not only have strong technical Health and Safety knowledge but will also know how to guide and influence leaders across best possible HSW practices. You will need to be confident, engaging, and ideally have had some coaching experience under your belt. A passionate leader and relationship builder, your stakeholder management skills will be second to none, and your natural ability to manage expectations proactively will see you go far in this role.

Health and Safety management and process safety expertise, ideally within a manufacturing environmentAbility to lead, coach and mentor others with demonstrated experience in changing safety cultureStrong stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business with a consultative approach and ability to influence othersExposure to ICAM and/or equivalent Root Cause Analysis investigation techniquesA recognised formal qualification in H&S or related fieldAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent time management and communication skills.Strong practical understanding of HSWAA safety 2.0 mindset.
