The opportunity: As Health & Safety Manager for the lower north island , you will support our regional teams across the lower north island to improve our safety and environmental performance. In addition to the above you will: Support and provide direction/advice to regional SQTE managers and regional leadership teams Implement the organisation's HSQES plans and policies and oversee the provision of safety education and training to employees Carry out regular visits to regions and sites to ensure consistency and monitor compliance Collaborate with our national safety team and other business unit safety leaders Work on specific safety projects/programmes as required To be successful in this role, you will: A minimum of 7 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within roading, civil or construction industries Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety is preferred Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels In depth understanding of NZ health safety and quality legislation, standards and best practices You will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent. You will have strong financial and business acumen.
