About the opportunity We're looking for a Health & Safety Manager to partner with T&G's Postharvest Operations team across ourpackhouse and coolstore sitesin the Hawkes Bay, Nelson, and Central Otago. It's an exciting time to join T&G as we continue toinvest in our world-class packhouse in Whakatu -at 1.7 hectares, it's the largest fruit packhouse in the southern hemisphere with an incredible array of automated and robotized technology. Key responsibilities include:
Partner withour Postharvest Operations leadership team, advisingon all aspects ofbest-practice H&S management Build H&S capability through coaching and effective process development and implementation Promote T&G's H&S systems and processesat all levels to foster a H&S-led culture
Identify and assess hazards and risks,and prepare controls to eliminate or minimise those Be the keyH&S contact for incidents / notifiable events in Postharvest Operations and lead subsequent investigations Coordinate external audits and action audit outcomes Roll out of a new online contractor management system Contribute to H&S projects and support the Head of H&Sto deliver the strategy and annual plan. Reporting to T&G's dynamic Head of H&Sand as part of our well-respected H&S team, you'll thrive in our supportive environment that encourages professional development and prioritises the wellbeing of our people.
