CLM is committed to delivering professional standards through the good work of our great team and leading the way to more active, healthy, and happier communities.About the RoleCLM is on the lookout for a full time Health and Safety Manager to lead this side of our business. This role reports to the General Manager Operations and will include working across our aquatic, leisure, fitness, and recreation facilities throughout the country supporting our team in all thing's health and safety! We currently hold ISO 45001 certification and one of your main duties will ensure compliance with this at all times. Your key duties and responsibilities include:Maintaining ISO 45001 accreditationWorking with our teams to ensure health and safety is embedded in their ways of working on a daily basis.Implementing, auditing, and maintaining our core health and safety systemsManaging health and safety operational and board reportingIncident management, investigation, and reporting and implementing corrective actions.Ensuring compliance to Hazardous Substances legislationRunning our audit and inspection programme to align with our ISO accreditation.Managing external contractors' health and safetyManage and mitigate critical risks across the business.Manage our health and safety software, ecoPortalManaging and delivering health and safety training across our network of facilities.But there is so much more! This role has heaps of growth potential and you have the opportunity to shape the way we manage the safety of our team and partners.About YouYou will need to bring a can-do attitude as we have lots to do. Because we're a small team every person shapes our culture so your energy and willingness to 'muck in' is critical. In return you'll have an opportunity to work right across the organisation with our team and our key stakeholders.Ideally, you'll have 3-5 years solid experience as a Health and Safety Coordinator or Manager working in a role where you have implemented core health and safety frameworks and systems. You will be a safe pair of hands that instils confidence, knows health and safety legislation including hazardous substances and company responsibilities and can articulate these in plain English. You will have a passion for health and fitness and aquatics, and we are a busy 24/7 business, so adaptability is a must and you'll be able to self-manage and prioritise your tasks.
