Position PurposeThe purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the
design, configuration and delivery of Health and Safety systems
for Massey University, including:

New Online Health and Safety Information Systems
Related Health and Safety Management Procedures, Standards

and Guidance Material

Context:

This role fits within the health, safety and wellbeing department, and is a
key part of our strategic aim to improve the visibility, focus and
performance of health and safety across the university.

Accountabilities

Accountability 1Delivery of a fit-for-purpose health and safety management system
?
Project management of the design, configuration, and implementation
of the system
? Working with key stakeholders to identify workflows and form design
? Working with the vendor to configure, test, and release the online
system
? Ensure that data security is controlled and maintained
? Data integrity issues are identified and resolved systematically
? Managing the rollout and widespread implementation of the system,
including the design and facilitation of training
? Undertake configuration or workflow updates promptly and accurately
? Design and build of dashboards and reporting tools to ensure visibility
of safety information
Accountability 2Development of H&S procedures, standards and guidance material
?
Project management of the design, configuration and release of
documents and material
? System and process guidance and documentation is established and
maintained
? Working alongside key stakeholders to ensure that all H&S
procedures, standards and guides are appropriate, workable and
aligned to Massey University’s approach to health and safety
Accountability 3Contribute to health and safety improvements across Massey
University

Participating in the development and implementation of strategies,

plans, and initiatives with the wider health and safety team.
Identifying areas for continuous improvement

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: ? Tertiary qualifications in health and safety or a related discipline are
desirable
Experience: ? At least 3 years of experience working in health and safety in large
and/or highly complex organisations
? Experience in managing and implementing improvement projects,
preferably those involving online H&S Information Systems
