The Role Due to internal movement, we are now seeking an experienced H&S Advisor to join our specialist H&S team and support ZIWI's management of all aspects of Health and Safety. This is a hands-on role where you will support, lead and coach our managers and manufacturing teams in improving their Health and Safety performance as our business grows. This exciting role is based in Hawke's Bay and will involve some domestic travel. Key responsibilities: Work with our Health and Safety Team to improve our processes and systems. Contribute to the development and implementation of the longer-term improvement plan. Build excellent relationships and become a valued advisor to the business and actively engage and influence through all levels of the business. Work with our managers and manufacturing teams to implement and maintain H&S systems. Work with our teams to proactively identify and control risks. Be an ambassador for worker engagement and involvement. Lead thorough investigations and learning reviews into significant events. Use investigation findings, recommendations, and actions to challenge, coach and drive sustainable solutions for the company. Key requirements: Excellent communication skills. A proven record in supporting the implementation of sustainable Health and Safety systems. A mix of traditional and modern H&S philosophies that you can bring to our business. The ability to deliver practical solutions and advice. Experience in food manufacturing or other manufacturing environments. A minimum of 5 years' H&S experience and preferably a Health and Safety Qualification or be willing to undertake further H&S study. Sound knowledge of current NZ H&S legislation and regulations Preferable experience in H&S recording and tracking software and other basic I.T.
