What you'll do:
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in influencing the achievement of our client's wellbeing and safety vision. You will provide invaluable advice and guidance to a diverse range of stakeholders, including leaders, managers, and other staff members. Your contribution to the design, development, and delivery of their wellbeing and safety strategy will be crucial. You will also drive engagement, participate in learning reviews, and develop strong relationships within the organisation.
* Influence and support the achievement of our wellbeing and safety vision across various areas
* Provide advice and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders on wellbeing and safety matters
* Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of our wellbeing and safety strategy
* Drive excellent engagement, participation, and representation on wellbeing and safety matters
* Participate in and lead learning reviews of successful work and events that did not go according to plan
* Develop strong relationships with various functions through open communication, sensitivity, honesty, and collaboration

What you bring:
The ideal Health and Safety Advisor brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles in similar fields. With a minimum degree level qualification in wellbeing or safety or equivalent experience, you have honed your skills over time. Your understanding of the vocational education sector is comprehensive, allowing you to navigate its complexities with ease. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. You have experience supporting Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in a workplace setting.
* Minimum degree level qualification in wellbeing and safety or related field or equivalent experience
* Experience working in a wellbeing and safety role providing support across an organisation
* Understanding of the vocational education sector and recent reforms
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
* Experience supporting Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices in a workplace setting
* Demonstrated practice promoting approaches that promote equity for priority groups
