Mo te tunga | About the roleThe Head of Preschool is responsible for the education and care of girls and boys aged three and four years of age, managing the day-to-day running of the Preschool, working with a highly committed and passionate team of teachers, and ensuring compliance with all the Ministry of Education, Education Review Office and other licensing requirements.

Being sensible is really important, but not all the time. You will be really good at your job if you make us laugh from our bellies and get all wobbly.Know lots of things to help us learn, like counting, writing and painting. Make learning fun, not boring. Boring is so boring!Being a good storyteller is really really important. You need to be able to make voices for the characters. It is a great feeling when you don't want the book to end.Wear sensible clothes, but it would be good if they were lovely.Know how to make volcanoes.Be good at working in an office when there is lots of noise outside when we are exploring so we can learn.Help us with our Mihi.Be nice to everyone and have good manners.Share what we do on StoryPark so our parents can see our hard work.Additionally, we are looking for the following:A qualified ECE or Primary teacher with a current Teacher CertificationDemonstrated experience (5+ years) leading an early childhood centre or preschoolA strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and practices in preschool learning environmentsDeep understanding of preschool curriculum requirements and planningStrong commitment to upholding appropriate regulations and Te WharikiOutstanding leadership and management experienceMomatou | About UsQueen Margaret College provides a world class education for girls from Year 1–13, with a boarding facility and a co-educational Preschool onsite.
