Head of People – Exclusive Opportunity – Manufacturing – North DownMCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an award-winning manufacturing client based in North Down, who wishes to appoint a Head of People to the organisation on a full-time, permanent basis.The organisation has boasted sustained year-on-year growth over the past number of years, with ambitious future growth plans over the next 3 years, and therefore requires a seasoned HR professional to push their people strategy to the next level.The roleReporting to the CEO, the successful Head of People will be responsible for the effective delivery of all HR aspects for the business, working in partnership with the management team to support them on any people issues, ensuring excellent service in a consistent manner.The Head of People will be support by a small team, with scope to develop this team over the next two years due to projected growth. The successful Head of People will work closely with various internal stakeholders throughout the business to understand current and future requirements recruitment requirements, taking on full responsibility for recruitment, and ensuring talent is pipelined to key areas across the organisation.Due to the organisations growth over the past number of years, they have seen various internal employees progress, moving into management positions. It is essential they are equipped to perform in these roles, therefore the successful candidate will be required to develop and roll out effective management development training, ensuring the team is capable of managing their team effectively.The organisation is an SME, therefore a candidate coming from a similar background, with strong experience in managing transformational change, as well as being in a position where they can shape and develop a people strategy is essential.The PersonStrong HR experience in a manufacturing environment is essentialEvidenced experience of building strong collaborative relationships with multiple partiesExperience of developing successful management development training, ideally within an SMEStrong transformation change experienceExperience of developing a strong employer brand and cultureStrong talent management experienceDemonstrable evidence of how you have shaped HR strategy for the success of businessEffective leadership skills able to handle multiple demands and prioritiesExcellent communication skills, with a skill in recognising importance of timing and method of communication dependent on situationMinimum CIPD qualificationPackageThe client is offering a marketing-leading base salary, as well as the chance to shape the organisations overall EVP moving forward.
