Valuable Engagement Opportunities Fixed Term 4-Month Position Petone Based Position The opportunity Wellington Water are currently looking for an Establishment Manager with experience directing programmes of work within the water industry. This role will be tasked with initiating the establishment of a work programme that will investigate and make recommendations on water metering solutions within our local water networks.
This role will be responsible for sizing and scoping the requirements for the programme of work in full, this includes:
Identifying required workstreams including sizing and scoping support resource needed Initiation and Creation of Framework(s) Engagement and Communication Strategies with Community, Iwi and Council stakeholders Solution Research, and Investigation Board and Stakeholder Reporting About you This work programme is essential for our Client Councils to make long-term infrastructure decisions, to be successful you will have:
A good understanding of our regional Water Network and at minimum a Bachelor of Engineering qualification Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including an understanding of treaty principles and tikanga Maori Experience developing and implementing frameworks and programme models An understanding of the machinery of local governance and governing board engagement Previous experience establishing and directing work programmes with multiple workstream's Ability to research, identify and navigate political and organisational issues and risks Leadership experience including working with HR teams to develop and size positional requirements Benefits At Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
