You'll be successful when Christian Savings continues to be innovative and dynamic while also compliant with the fast-changing regulatory framework it operates within, and when your teammates and stakeholders understand how to achieve their goals and objectives within that framework. Reporting initially to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be part of the wider leadership team and have two direct reports. Key stakeholders include the Board of Directors, Reserve Bank of New Zealand, the Financial Markets Authority.What you'll be able to demonstrateThe Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance will have:A minimum of 10 years' PQE gained in-house, inside a relevant regulatory organisation, or in private practice.Experience as a banking and finance lawyer or working in or with the banking and financial services sector or clients.Demonstrable knowledge of relevant areas of New Zealand law and regulation (including the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, Non-Bank Deposit Takers Act 2013, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009, Privacy Act 2020 and Companies Act 1993).Experience dealing with regulators and the confidence to advise the senior leadership team and the Board of Directors.Company secretary experience is desirable.Feel free to contact Sandra Gilliam at Ad Idem MMXXII on 021 375 376 for a confidential discussion.
