This new role provides the opportunity for an experienced HSW leader to positively impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of our people through leveraging a blend of specialist expertise, effective stakeholder engagement, a focus on delivery and a leadership style that is collaborative, adaptive, and has our values at its heart.This role is accountable for:Leading the implementation of the HSW strategy recognising its contribution to ASB's strategy, priorities and objectivesEnsuring our HSW framework is reviewed, developed and monitored on an ongoing basis, to remain fit for purpose for ASBSuccessful delivery of specific work programmesLeading a dedicated and capable HSW team, modelling best practice HSW leadershipSupporting the Executive, people leaders, employees and Board with specialist and strategic adviceAll HSW reporting requirements including for the Executive and BoardPartnering with the business to promote a strong HSW culture, and enhance HSW capabilityKey to your success in this role will be:Proven experience in Health and Safety within a corporate environment, combined with a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislationKnowledge and experience leading HSW in a values-based organisationAbility to lead a team in a dynamic, changing environmentA collaborative approach with strong written and verbal communication capabilityAbility to influence, engage and coach a wide range of stakeholdersAdept at navigating a complex organisation and dealing with ambiguityAt ASB, we are committed to our vision and values of Integrity, Caring, Passion, Courage and United.
