Head Of Finance

My client are currently seeking a Head of Finance to manage and lead the internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This role is integral member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), fostering a culture of trust and transparency across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all internal and external reporting, including budgeting and forecasting. Manage the external audit process and ensure compliance with accounting and finance policies. Lead a team of three, inspiring excellence and continuous improvement. Key Accountabilities: Prepare weekly revenue forecasts and monthly reporting for senior management and the Board. Manage statutory reporting requirements and the external audit process. Drive the creation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders. Lead and contribute to ad hoc finance projects as required. Qualifications, Experience & Competencies: Tertiary finance qualification and professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA). Big 4 Audit background (Preferable) Proven track record of leadership experience in finance. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in reporting tools. Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and experience in audit or financial control. Exposure to Tableau, Hyperion, and ERP systems preferred. Leadership and Development:  Lead an engaged, collaborative team focused on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Ensure clear objectives, regular performance reviews, and timely management of underperformance. Provide training and development opportunities for all team members. Keep the Finance team informed on accounting standards and company policies. Address staff feedback promptly, upholding company values in all decisions.
