We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join us in Queenstown.What we're looking for:- Passionate commitment to a successful career in the hospitality industry- Projects a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude at all times- Possesses a creative flair and superb presentation skillsWhat we need from you:- You must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience- The ability to provide high quality meals in a fast-paced environment- Strong focus on food safety compliance- Exceptional customer service standards- Ability to engage with local community- Well-rounded experience within bar/pub industry- Flexible availability to work rostered shifts as our venue is open 7 days a weekWhat will your job duties include?- Plan and develop menus that are in line with venue standards- Ensuring accurate food and labour costs, ordering food supplies, managing deliveries and processing invoices- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation- Ensuring effective collaboration and communication across kitchen and front-of-house teams in regard to food preparation, standards and practices- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking methods- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations and practices including managing kitchen log books, cleaning schedules and temperature log books- Selecting and training new staff, ensuring they are being trained to a high standard and familiarising them with kitchen processes- Build a high performance team and lead a productive kitchen culture- Working professionally in a fast paced environmentWhy choose us?- The opportunity to start a career with New Zealand Venue Co. in one of our amazing venues- The chance to work for a dynamic company where we welcome and encourage innovation- The security of a permanent full-time contract- A competitive wage and rewards for hard work and success- Minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week- Remuneration of $75,000 - $85,000Does this sound like you?
