Casual Application Closes 19 May 2024 Hawkes Bay - Hastings Receptionist and Information Clerk Hauora Administrator (Relief cover) We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated applicants who would like to be an important part of our busy, primary care medical practice. Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga, is a whanau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Maori health and social services organisation. With over 38 years experience operating our local community, we are dedicated to supporting whanau me hapori in achieving their aspirations and overall well-being.Hauora, our Medical Centre is based at our large site in Orchard Road, Hastings. As a Relief Administrator, your role will involve providing efficient and effective administration and reception support to our Medical team and Dental service. We are looking for candidates who are available to provide relief cover when our permanent workforce is on leave. We are looking for cover on any given day - Monday to Friday and our busiest times are between the hours of 8.30am to 2.30pm. This role would ideally suit a person looking to get into back the workforce or has school aged children or you are at the other end of your career looking to reduce your hours but still want to work regularly. Reporting to the Team Leader – Administration, the administration role is an important part of our integrated model of care that we use in our practice. Each Wananga Ita team consists of clinical and non-clinical staff, working together to provide comprehensive care for our whanau. You will receive full training in the role and the systems we use. You will also work together with other supportive team members.Within this Wananga Ita, the administration role will be responsible for:- Accurately managing patient enrolments to practice guidelines- Customer service and reception duties- Scheduling and minute talking clinical meetings- Managing clinical and office stationary supplies Ideal candidates will have:- Experience in administration in the Health sector- Knowledge of DHB, Ministry of Health, Primary Health Care systems - Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Indici, Titanium Patient Management systems (or other databases)- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or administration experience You must also have:- Excellent Communications skills – verbal and written- The ability to build rapport and whanaungataunga with clients and de-esculate when required- Empathy for those who are unwell in our community- Some knowledge of Te Reo and tikanga practice is an advantage- The ability to prioritise workload effectively- A work ethic and be reliable and punctual- Respect for Confidentiality and Privacy requirements - Current First Aid certificate (ideally or we can support you to get this)- A Current Full Drivers licenseWhat we offer:Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a positive, friendly, and values-based organisation that genuinely cares about its staff.
