Group Financial Accountant

We know that by supporting a thriving regional economy, and by actively growing regional outcomes, our community, our country and our shareholders benefit.Your responsibilities will include:· Contributing to the month-end process including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, management reporting, analysis and providing business partnering;· Assisting in the preparation of external financial reporting in accordance with NZ IFRS and NZX requirements. Working with the external auditors to ensure clean and timely audit sign-off;· Assisting in the preparation of tax provision and deferred tax calculations;· Supporting Treasury management through the preparation and monitoring of daily cashflows, maintenance of debt facilities and debt compliance, maintenance of hedging relationships;· Oversight of compliance activities including, but not limited to the preparation of GST/FBT/ statistics returns;· Contributing to the development of financial and reporting systems, finance processes and controls to ensure effective financial management;· Assisting with developing and coaching others within the team;· Ensuring appropriate controls, policies and efficient processes are in place to ensure integrity, reliability, and support timely financial reporting and decision making;· Health and safety – actively contributing to a zero-harm workplace.About you:· You will have 5 years+ accounting experience in a CA firm or corporate environment· You will have CA membership of CAANZ (or international equivalent)· You will have a sound knowledge of finance operations, including systems, methodologies, techniques and technology· You will have excellent attention to detail and sound analytical and problem-solving skills· You will be self-motivated and focused on continuous improvement· You will have intermediate excel skills and experience in the use of financial reporting toolsIf this sounds like you, please complete an online application.Applications close on Wednesday 27th March 2024.Must have current eligibility to work in New Zealand.Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
