We are looking a great person - enthusiastic, honest, reliable and hardworking to join our team on the Waitaki plains, 15 minutes from Oamaru.
Job to start mid July 2020
3 hours, to Christchurch, 1.5 hours to Dunedin, 3 hours to Queenstown
We milk 1750 cows through 2 dairy sheds, a rotary and herringbone. You’d be part of a 9 person team
The farm has recently been developed, with central lanes, pivot irrigation and good machinery. This farm is well kept making for a tidy workplace
Your main responsibility will be feeding calves twice a day, calf hygiene and calf wellbeing/health
Jobs that you’ll be asked to do also included, but aren’t limited to:
· Milking cows
· Pushing cows to the cowshed
· Break fencing
· Weed control
Accomodation will be provided in a 3 bedroom furnished house.
The farm is smoke and drug free.
