PA, EA & Secretarial (Administration & Office Support) Government (Government & Defence) Full time $85,447 - $98,891 (including 4% superannuation) The Governance Team's mission is to improve strategic level decision making within the NZDF by providing high quality support and advice to the senior governance committees. You will coordinate and facilitate an effective support function for the corporate level governance boards and committees to enable efficient and effective NZDF governance systems, policies, processes and controls. A typical day may include: Calling for papers, reviewing and accepting any submissions. Providing quality assurance checks of presented papers to ensure highest quality and accuracy of applications. Setting up meeting environments and preparing agendas. Taking minutes and distributing decisions to ensure action is initiated. Continuously looking to improve processes and standards. Engaging with senior leaders and their teams. This role is based in Wellington CBD. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, flexible working options are negotiable. You will be required to work primarily from the office. You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, as well as be able to build trust and confidence at a senior level. This role requires the ability to articulate processes and policies clearly and accurately to senior management level, and needs a good command of written English to ensure everything is to the highest standard possible. You will have: Effective time management skills to ensure meetings run smoothly. The ability to work under pressure with a high level of attention to detail. A level of discretion with the ability to work with confidential and sensitive material. Experience running meetings or events. A high level of computer literacy. Previous governance experience is advantageous but is not essential. You may be working at a junior advisory level aspiring towards a career in governance.
