Job Summary Assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety and environmental measures and initiatives to ensure compliance with corporate and local department HSE requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities: Provides advice and consultation to department staff to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards, and practices.Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace, conducting surveys and coordinating on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.Conducts construction site and/or area safety inspections, including hazard analyses and safe work procedures, and prepares written reports and recommendations.Develops controls for identified hazards, coordinates implementation, and evaluates their effectiveness, recommending changes to improve workplace safety.Prepares safety orientations, training, and job site inspection procedures, and conducts specialized safety and environmental training programs.Participates in Safe Operations Committee meetings to address safety concerns and initiatives.Reviews and analyzes injury, property damage, and statistical loss data, preparing comprehensive recommendations for corrective action.Incorporates essential safety requirements in all purchasing and contracting actions, recommending the purchase of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.Maintains awareness of corporate safety and environmental requirements, making recommendations for their implementation.Assists management in monitoring adherence to department safety and environmental programs by employees and contractors.Performs other related duties as directed by the supervisor.Requirements: This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Preferred BS degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of related safety/operational experience and/or training, preferably in the oil/gas or petrochemical industry, or in a related industry such as marine, pipelines, or power distribution.Knowledge or training in occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental, and/or international standards.Demonstrated expertise in delivering hands-on health, safety, and environmental training. Ability to assist with developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including proficiency in training, presentations, and report writing.Ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety, and environmental fields.Ability to work at all levels within an organization and in diverse workgroups.Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
