What's the role?We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team as the Global Allocations Lead, reporting directly to the Head of Global Optimisation. In this crucial role, you will serve as the owner of Global OGR (Orchard Gate Return) optimisation and market allocation plans, providing strategic recommendations for monthly market allocation plans and 10-year constrained supply allocations through the strategic planning process. As well as owning optimisation models and supporting the allocation process, you'll also play a key role in driving business understanding of OGR and providing tools to support market teams to optimise value returned back to our growers.Your responsibilities will include:Drive the determination of in-season MAP allocation recommendations endorsed through the monthly IBP process.Oversee formal MAP releases and in-season maintenance.Play a pivotal role in determining market prioritisation decisions and execution, particularly when supply constrained at season start or finish.Effectively communicate key supply updates and outcomes of market supply decisions.Conduct in-season What-if/scenarios/crop management analysis to provide data-driven insights, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.Perform global season sales performance analysis to identify market opportunities or risks.Take ownership of Global ZGS (Non-NZ Supply) Green Procurement plans, capturing market demand and aligning with the ZGS supply team.Own OGR (Orchard Gate Return) calculation and optimisation of global 10-year fruit sales plans, developing scenarios around the 10-year plan to support strategic decision making.Review OGR performance in-season, supporting the setting of market targets, and tracking OGR vs. benchmarks to drive performance and visibility within the business.Lead OGR business training and support onboarding, ensuring teams are equipped with the tools and knowledge to support OGR improvement.Develop and maintain market OGR Calculators to support market value optimization.Provide business/cross-functional project support relating to the value chain, including crop forecast accuracy, value chain modeling, and other initiatives that drive OGR improvements.Act as a key integration point between IBP plans and financial outputs, as well as supporting system projects relating to optimisation and SAP IBP plan financial dollarisation.Write Board or Management Reports relating to Season allocation, Season performance reporting papers, and input into the 10 Year Plan Board Paper and presentations.Ko wai koe? Who are you?You will be a self-starter who has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial or FP&A role within a corporate setting. You will also meet the following selection criteria:Possess a tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or finance.CAANZ qualification or equivalent finance certification is highly preferred.Proficient in advanced financial analytics and excel modelling, with the capability to handle and analyze large datasets effectively.Demonstrates strong commercial and financial acumen, enabling the tracking of trends and data to drive added value initiatives.Exhibits robust analytical skills, allowing for the thorough breakdown and comprehension of diverse information to facilitate informed decision-making.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at delivering clear, concise, and engaging messages across various mediums and audiences.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Experience with Analytical and Business Intelligence Tools is a plus.Our people are what makes our culture so irresistible and uniquely Zespri.
