Based in our Christchurch (Hornby) office and reporting to the Head of Retail & Foodservice Sales, due to an impending new arrival for our incumbent Global Account Manager - Retail and Foodservice, we are looking for an equally committed and passionate individual to join our dynamic Sales and Marketing team at Westland Milk Products to provide a period of 10 months parental leave cover. This is an extremely exciting and key strategic role within Westland with great responsibility for managing some of the largest retailers and foodservice clients throughout NZ and Australia. The role requires identifying, developing and continually growing a successful and profitable branded consumer and foodservice business for Westland, which includes our prestigious Westgold brand amongst others. More specifically, you will be responsible for: Managing sales of consumer and foodservice products throughout NZ and Australia, including identifying appropriate opportunities for sustainable and profitable business growth Delivering exceptional customer service and establishing strong relationships with all existing retail and foodservice customers across the designated markets to ensure volume and value are maximised Maintaining a core understanding of all allocated customer's strategies and needs Clear communication to the wider business to ensure alignment and customer demands are met New Business Development Identifying opportunities for new product development Maintaining & developing strategic sales business plans Working with the S&OP team to manage the sales forecast to ensure available volumes are aligned to customers' expectations Management of budgeted/allocated sales spend Using internal and external reporting tools to report to internal and external stakeholders Our successful applicant will ideally possess: A proven track record of export sales excellence and effective account/customer management and new business development within FMCG sales Experience of both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) sales Some understanding of the international dairy market and impacting market fundamentals and other key drivers around price performance, supply and demand. A high standard of personal presentation and communication skills Exceptional influencing and relationship management skills Excellent attention to detail and time management The ability to be resourceful and adaptable and to work independently Experience in new product development and taking a new opportunity from concept to commercialisation Some technical knowledge of milk-based products and their applications would be beneficial This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known company who takes pride and passion in everything they do, so come join us!
