Our client seeks an enthusiastic specialist geriatrician to join a team of Physicians, Junior Medical Staff, Allied Health, and Nurses who provide specialist services to older adults. The job is based in a 359 bed Hospital which provides acute adult medical service with support from resident specialists in Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Oncology, Haematology and Renal services.
The department encourages clinicians to undertake their subspeciality interests (ortho geriatrics, stroke, Parkinson's/movement disorders, acute care of older adults and rehabilitation).
Clinical responsibilities include management of patients admitted for acute care, ambulatory clinics, clinics, consultations across other specialities and providing telephone advice to primary care and other specialist clinicians.
There are teaching opportunities across undergraduate (years 4-6) and postgraduate (basic and advanced trainees) in medicine.
An attractive remuneration is offered with a relocation package and visa sponsorship.
