Our Company specializes in materials testing company, providing laboratory and field testing services to the civil and environmental engineering industry with offices across New Zealand. We have an exciting opportunity for a Instrumentation Monitoring Technician to join our team in Newmarket, Auckland.
In this role, you will install and monitor instrumentation in the field, process and report data, and perform accompanying administration tasks. You will need a high level of computer literacy including good knowledge of Excel. The job is approximately 2/3rds fieldwork and 1/3 office work, therefore you will need a willingness to get hands dirty and enjoy working outdoors all weather and conditions.
You will need to be fit and physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy monitoring equipment (30kg). A full driver's licence is ideal. You will be speaking with contractors and engineers on-site so therefore you will also be a good communicator and customer focussed.
We are looking for a practical person with good tool skills and the "Kiwi No 8 wire" mentality. We want someone who is self-motivated and good at troubleshooting. You will be part of a team but will be required to work independently under the direction of the Team Leader and Engineers.
