Where you'll be working: General Surgery Department – Waikato Hospital The details: Permanent Full time - 40 hours per week (1 FTE) * Be part of the national transformation in Health * Level 1 Trauma Hospital with a broad scope of General Surgery practice with a subspecialty interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery * Join a dynamic and high functioning department Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity A position has arisen for a General Surgeon – Oncoplastic Breast sub speciality to join our Department of General Surgery. The role is 40 routine hours per week plus contribution to the acute on-call roster. Click here to view the position description. Mōu | About you Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role: * Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi * Vocational Registration in General Surgery and have subspeciality training in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery * Confident in managing a range of conditions associated with doing on call General Surgery in a large hospital * Track record of excellence in communication and collaboration with colleagues both within and outside the department * Current APC and current membership with a medical indemnifier Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service The successful candidate will join a dynamic and high functioning department providing secondary services to the Waikato population, and a number of tertiary services to the entire midland Te Manawa Taki region. As a member of the General Surgery Team, this role has shared accountability for a population of over 900,000. The teams consists of 20 SMOS, (combination of full and part-time), 4 Fellows, 5 SET trainee Registrars and 23 RMOs.
