General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Te Tawharau o Ngati Pukenga Trust is a Treaty of Waitangi Post Settlement Governance Entity. It received the majority of its settlement assets in 2017. The Trust has developed a governance and organisational structure to manage the assets obtained through the Settlement and set up both a Charitable Trust and a commercial company called Ngati Pukenga Investments Limited (the Group). The Trust and Charitable Trust is seeking a part-time General Manager (GM) to consolidate the progress made to date and to focus on the following priorities for the next five years: Supporting the Board(s) to develop and execute commercial and social development strategies; Managing existing and growing the settlement assets; Succession planning and leadership development;  Initiating annual distributions approved by the Board(s); Sourcing both commercial and social development opportunities. Reporting to the Board, the GM will be accountable for effectively leading and managing the Trust operations and activities, whilst ensuring that the outcomes of the Trust's strategic direction are met. To be successful in this role you will need to: Have proven strategic and operational management experience. Be efficient and effective at risk management, business development, financial and resource management and executive reporting. Be self-motivated and practised at a "hands on" approach. Have a partnership and solution-based mindset Have experience at working in a kaupapa Maori environment The role is a work from home opportunity based in Tauranga with access to a range of high-quality lifestyle opportunities.
