Legacy Funerals was established in 2007 and is uniquely owned by a charitable trust, meaning the profits from the business are gifted back to the local community.
We are a professional funeral home with top quality facilities, caring and friendly staff. We strive to provide a good working environment for staff and provide support to grow your career in the industry.
We are looking to recruit another Funeral Director/Embalmer to our team. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the natural ability to deal with people in a caring and empathetic way. Previous experience working in the industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
Some of the qualities required for the Funeral Director role are:
Have the ability to relate to people in a time of need in a caring and respectful manner, including differing age groups and cultures.
The ability to work in a team environment and offer support to other staff when required
Accurate administration and organizational skills.
The ability to personalise each funeral so it is specific to each families requirements
To ensure privacy.
The ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Computer literate and the ability to use Microsoft Publisher would be a benefit.
Ensuring all required duties and responsibilities are carried out with the utmost professionalism and courtesy when representing Legacy Funerals.
Some of the qualities required for the Embalmer role are:
A high level of attention to detail in preparing the deceased.
Maintain a dignified and responsible outlook, and be motivated to work alone.
An interest in anatomy and science would be beneficial.
Able to handle a vast array of surgical instruments and equipment.
It is essential that you are able to participate in an on-call roster, which includes weekend and evening work and you must hold a full driver’s licence. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
Remuneration will be dependant on experience.
