26 March 2024 Aviva (incorp. Christchurch Women's Refuge) Charitable Trust is a social change agency that offers a comprehensive range of services for people at every stage of their journey towards overcoming family and sexual violence and its enduring effects. We aim to break the intergenerational family cycle of trauma and harm. Aviva supports people of all ages and all genders, whatever their experience of violence. In 2016 Aviva co-founded The Loft, a collaborative partnership of community, social and health services based at the Eastgate Shopping Centre. We are looking for a confident, professional leader who is passionate about social justice to join our Fundraising and Communications team. In this role you will work with others to prepare and implement the annual communications and fundraising plan. You will manage and monitor progress and will lead and support the Fundraising and Communication's kaimahi. The role will see you working on quality campaigns to engage our stakeholders, managing communication plans and media coverage, overseeing our campaign calendar and our grant income, and managing a small team. This is a permanent 30 hour per week position working at Eastgate office from Monday to Friday. To be successful in this role you will be a creative thinker who enjoys problem solving, takes initiative and has a high standard of communication. You will also have: A degree in Communication or Marketing and/or demonstrated experience in Fundraising and Communications Relationship building and networking skills Experience achieving financial and management goals Excellent planning, organisational and people management skills A passion for social justice Make a real difference to people's lives every day.
