Cooltrax (www.cooltrax.com) builds IoT hardware and software to monitor temperatures, control fridges, and track trailers as they transport goods across the country. That might sound simple, but Australians alone buy $120bn of groceries each year and Cooltraxs services provide a critical piece of the supply chain infrastructure that makes this possible. They operate in Australia and the United States and have a distributed engineering team with the home base in Melbourne.

The Job
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role owning, developing, and being responsible for entire features of their product. It is a true full-stack position. Cooltraxs products are constantly being developed and improved so there will be an element of problem solving on existing features, but the long-term plan is to constantly upgrade and develop new products. If you have the desire to take on team leadership activities and help develop other team members, even better.

You
You are a degree qualified software development professional with experience developing and implementing commercial internet-based products, ideally in JavaScript. You are a problem solver able to break down solutions into achievable pieces, and can work with others to do so. You dont like being given discrete tasks, and are comfortable being responsible for an entire feature end-to-end. Bonus points for familiarity with Linux, asynchronous real-time systems, UI design, and dev-ops.
