Role: Freelance English Editor We are looking for meticulous individuals with a strong grasp of the English language and the varied nuances of academic writing to support scholars publishing their research. Freelance English Editors support academic research by editing the language of peer-reviewed papers to publication standards within a stipulated timeframe.
Responsibilities Edit scholarly articles submitted to MDPI journals to a publication-ready standard. Apply knowledge of the English language and the context of the manuscript to make the English clear, consistent, and grammatically correct, communicating the author's message without changing their voice unnecessarily. Ensure manuscripts align with MDPI's house rules. Effectively meet tight deadlines. Essential Experience and Skills A PhD in any subject. Expert knowledge of the English language. Experience in editing, translating, or publishing scholarly content. Excellent time management and organisation skills. High attention to detail. Experience working remotely in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of an international team. Access to the most recent version of MS Word and antivirus software.
