What will you be doing? The purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of Tower's business by interpreting complex data to detect, reduce and prevent Fraud to protect the organisation from revenue loss.
As a Fraud Analyst will be responsible for utilising and managing Tower's fraud detection tools and is expected to interpret data to engage high risk customers to establish claims fraud.
You can expect to be across the following: Managing and conducting all aspects of Tower's analytic tools and systems available to provide investigation leads using best practice techniques in accordance with legislative requirements: Analysing call traffic, data mining, documents and relevant information to identify high risk and out of pattern usage, investigating anomalies, interpreting data and detecting in a timely manner instances of Fraud in order to reduce losses from such risk.Professionally and appropriately engaging with customers and 3rd parties in phone discussions/interviews to obtain further information/address areas of concern that will either form the basis of investigation referrals or recommendations to claims with appropriate actions.Maintaining a thorough knowledge of claim processes and policy to ensure appropriate, focused referrals for investigations on the outputs of the data.: Acting to limit losses once a Fraud/risk has been detected. Selecting and implementing the appropriate action to combat Fraud/high risk exposure and focusing on continuous improvement, continually evaluating existing business processesProviding advice and recommendations in relation to Fraud and risk management process and procedure by providing support and advice to the Fraud and Investigations Manager and managing and identifying projects that enhance efficiency in the Investigations team.Establish and maintain effective relationships with Customer Service Officers and Team Leaders: Ensure the expectations and requirements of internal stakeholders are met and prioritise own workload on a regular basis to ensure regular and accurate referrals and desktop investigations are completed in a timely manner.What you'll need To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience gained throughout career in statistics, data analysis, and research methods.2-5 years' experience in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical softwareA high level of insurance knowledge, insurance law and experience in the claims area and/or financial services experience preferred including a broad knowledge of the insurance industryGood knowledge of computer hardware and software, and ability to learn new software and proficient in analytical tools and instruments: Microsoft Excel/AccessExtensive experience and knowledge of billing, service provision and credit management systems.Preferably proficient with desktop investigations/claims inquiriesMaking sure we are doing what's right; if you feel comfortable doing so, please let us know early in the process if there are any diversity needs, we can meet or make reasonable adjustments to enable you to shine.
