Forklift Operator/Storeperson

About the role We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Forklift operator looking to work in a highly skilled and dynamic team, The warehouse based in Dunedin is responsible for moving a variety of Dairy Products and other forms of freight locally. A typical day in a Storeperson/Forklift Operator role at this site will see you loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, devanning containers as well as completing a range of relevant paperwork. The successful candidate must be physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour from time to time. The roster will have you working Monday – Friday dayshift, 7:30am-4:30pm and every second Saturday. Some flexibility is required to suit business and seasonal needs. . Duties Day-to-day tasks: Complete accurate and detailed stocktaking tasks daily including checking bar-coding data, and the quantity and location of products in order to maintain accurate warehouse inventory records of all product. Be responsible for the receiving (inwards), storage and shipping (outwards) of all products in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Take all reasonably practicable steps to prevent harm to themselves or to any other person in the workplace. Have fun! Skills and experience At least 2 years' experience operating a forklift in a busy storage environment; Pay depends on experience and skills, around $26.50 starting rate  A full clean Class 1 licence; A current F Endorsement and OSH certificate; Experience using RF scanners working in a food grade environment is preferred, but not essential; Reliability and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; Good communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of team If you are interested call us on 0800226732 or
