This is resulting in significant changes to how we operate and engage with customers, and the way that our people undertake their work. We're looking for someone to join our team in the area of Forensic Data & Systems Analysis. The roles will be based in Manukau, Auckland. The Digital Audit and Forensics team provide forensic services to Inland Revenue, supporting tax investigations through the acquisition of electronic data and subsequent analysis and presentation as evidence. Inland Revenue will offer training to the right person but to start with we're looking for a good fit with the following:Inquisitive and persistent: you enjoy finding anomalies that others don't noticeComfortable with handling structured data, database concepts and query techniquesA strong understanding of computer hardware and operating system interaction, particularly around storage and communications technologiesYou may meet people in stressful situations so you must have excellent people-facing skills: the ability to respond calmly and professionally under pressureBusiness system understanding: how transactional systems record and process data (e.g. accounting or supply chain systems)Highly literate with excellent attention to detail: your work may be used in court, so all the t's must be crossed, and it must be complete and ready on time You will work as part of a small team at Inland Revenue. Travel is often required within New Zealand. It goes without saying that you must have the highest level of integrity.
