We are seeking an enthusiastic Quality Technologist who is able to drivedelivery of food qualityand compliance to support our growing company. You will be responsiblefor delivering operational excellence by implementing quality assuranceactivities and initiatives across the entire range of Restaurant Brandsingredients and products. The ideal candidate will need to have stronginterpersonal skills as they will be establishing working relationships withsuppliers and providing food technology support for supply chain management,operations and marketing for both new product development and non-new productdevelopment projects.What the role involves:Supporting the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure quality compliance is maintained throughout our restaurants andsuppliersConducting validation tests to ensure cooking cycles are met with food safetyregulationsAssisting the operations team with resources regarding nutrition & allergens, training aids, and process improvementsImproving and developing existing products and packaging solutions and supporting new product development processAbout 50% of the role will be visiting suppliers and in store product testing and about 50% in the officeGeneral support to supply chain teamSkills and Experience:A tertiary degree in Food Technology/ Science1-2 years Food Industry experience withknowledge of product development, processing and quality programs would be highly desirableUnderstanding of food and industry based NZ legislation would be helpfulAbility to drive projects Ability to interpret and utilise Marketing Industry Information and productresearch to best advantage of Restaurant BrandsExcellent oral and written communication skills, able to read and understandwork related material and can prepare concise reports that outlinerecommendations, justification and formalising the outcome.Strong organisation, innovation and delivery skills, ability to improve established systems, applying technical knowledge and testing standards.What we can offer:Free car park plus the Ellerslie train station is located only 2-minute walkawayWorking with internationally recognised brandsSupport from an experienced Quality Assurance Manager and ongoingprofessional developmentThe opportunity to grow your career within a well recognised publicly listed company Discretionary annual bonus based on company performanceAbout us:Restaurant Brands is a corporate franchisee and specialises in managing multi-site branded food retail chains.
