Food Services Assistant

The Food Services Assistant will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the College catering by providing efficient and effective service in the servery, and catering for internal and external events.

Ormond College is now recruiting for an experienced full time Food Services Attendant.

This role is vital to the success of the in-house catering at the College.

We seek to attract, retain and develop the best possible staff to deliver a well-rounded living experience for the College residents.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

Ensure that the server is set up correctly for the relevant meal period
Check for Food Safety compliance.
Working with the student staff on shift and lead by example, motivate and train them with a hands on approach
Ensure that the food is always looking fresh and inviting.
Manage the traffic within the servery ensuring that each person swipes the turnstile and moves through the servery with ease.
Assist Kitchen staff with sandwich and salad prep as required.
Support chefs and kitchen staff as required.
Assist as required with Conference and Events.
